# Calendar (Year)

Selecting the ***Calendar (Year)*** entry from the ***View*** menu will display the calendar of the current year.

Depending on your permissions and the default settings set by the administrator you will see your own absences in the current year.

At the top of the calendar you can use several buttons to restrict and filter the display.

| Button | Description                |
| ------ | -------------------------- |
| <<     | Go back a month            |
| >>     | Go forward a month         |
| Today  | Goes back to today’s month |
| Region | Select the region you want |
| User | Select the user you want |

#### Responsive Display

There is no suitable way to display the year calendar on smaller mobile devices. The year calendar serves overview purposes that cannot be achieved breaking it into bits and pieces for smaller screens. That is why, if the administrator has enabled mobile device display, the year calendar page is exempt from it. On smaller mobile devices you will be asked to accept horizontal scrolling when accessing the year calendar page.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://lewe.gitbook.io/teamcal-neo/user-guide/calendar-year.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
